World Mental Health Day
14th Oct 2024
๐๐World Mental Health Day๐๐
Today our school was a ‘Sea of Yellow’ as pupils dressed in yellow with ‘wacky’ hairdos to mark World Mental Health Day.
The children took part in a vibrant assembly where Mrs Kealey talked to the pupils about how their mental health was just as important as their physical health.
Children discussed mindfulness, talked about their emotions, how to manage them and what to do to feel happy again. They are aware of catching, challenging and how to change their thoughts too and we all know here in St.Matthew’s how important it is to talk to someone when we’re feeling sad or worried!
Check out some of our photos!๐๐
